Racines#

Exemple 5

  1. \(\sqrt{16}=4\), car \(4^2=16\)

  2. \(\sqrt[4]{81}=3\), car \(3^4=81\)

  3. \(\sqrt[5]{32}=2\), car \(2^5=32\)

  4. \(\sqrt[6]{x^{12}}=x^2\), car \(\left(x^2\right)^6=x^{12}\)

Remarques

  2. \(\sqrt[5]{-32}=-2\), car \((-2)^5=-32\)

  3. \(\sqrt[3]{-27}=-3\), car \((-3)^3=-27\)

Théorème - Règles de calcul pour les racines

Soient \(a, b > 0\) et \(m, n \in\mathbb{Z}\), alors

Formules

  1. \(\sqrt[n]{a\cdot b} =\sqrt[n]{a} \cdot \sqrt[n]{ b}\)

Exemples numériques

\(\sqrt[3]{2} \cdot \sqrt[3]{4}=\sqrt[3]{2 \cdot 4}=\sqrt[3]{8} = 2\)

  1. \(\sqrt[n]{\dfrac{a}{b}} =\dfrac{\sqrt[n]{a}}{\sqrt[n]{b}}\)

\(\sqrt{\dfrac{16}{25}}=\dfrac{\sqrt{16}}{\sqrt{25}}=\dfrac{4}{5}\)

  1. \(\sqrt[n]{\sqrt[m]{a}}=\sqrt[n \cdot m]{a}\)

\(\sqrt[3]{\sqrt[2]{a^6}}=\sqrt[3 \cdot 2]{a^6}=\sqrt[6]{a^6}=a\)

  1. \(\sqrt[n]{a^m}=\left(\sqrt[n]{a}\right)^m\)

\(\sqrt[3]{8^5}=\left( \sqrt[3]{8}\right)^5=2^5=32\)

  1. \(\sqrt{18}=\sqrt{9 \cdot 2}=\sqrt{3^2 \cdot 2}=\sqrt{3^2} \cdot \sqrt{2}=3\sqrt{2}\)

  2. \(\sqrt{800}=\sqrt{100 \cdot 4 \cdot 2}=\sqrt{10^2 \cdot 2^2 \cdot 2}=\sqrt{10^2} \cdot \sqrt{2^2} \cdot \sqrt{2}=10 \cdot 2 \cdot \sqrt{2} = 20\sqrt{2}\)

Définition

Pour tout \(a >0\), \(m \in \mathbb{Z}\) et \(n \in \mathbb{Z}^*\) on a

\[a^{\frac{1}{n}}=\sqrt[n]{a}\]

Exemple 8

  1. \(5^{\frac{1}{2}} = \sqrt{5}\)

  2. \(2^{\frac{1}{3}} = \sqrt[3]{2}\)

  3. \(3^{\frac{1}{4}} = \sqrt[4]{3}\)

  4. \(9^{\frac{1}{7}} = \sqrt[7]{9}\)

Définition

Pour tout \(a >0\), \(m \in \mathbb{Z}\) et \(n \in \mathbb{Z}^*\) on a

\[a^{\frac{m}{n}}=\left( a^m\right)^{\frac{1}{n}}=\sqrt[n]{a^m} \text{ \quad ou \quad}a^{\frac{m}{n}}=\left( a^{\frac{1}{n}}\right)^m=\left( \sqrt[n]{a}\right)^m\]

Exemple 9

  1. \(27^{\frac{2}{3}}=\left( \sqrt[3]{27} \right)^2=3^2=9\)

  2. \(25^{\frac{3}{2}}=\left( \sqrt{25} \right)^3=5^3=125\)

  3. \(9^{0.5}=9^{\frac{1}{2}}= \sqrt{9}=3\)

  4. \(8^{-\frac{1}{3}}= \dfrac{1}{8^{\frac{1}{3}}}=\dfrac{1}{\sqrt[3]{8}}=\dfrac{1}{2}\)

Exemple 10

  1. \[\begin{split}\left( x^{\frac{5}{6}} \cdot \sqrt[4]{x} \right) : \sqrt[3]{x^2}&=\left(x^{\frac{5}{6}} \cdot x^{\frac{1}{4}} \right):x^{\frac{2}{3}}\\ &=x^{\frac{10}{12}+\frac{3}{12}-\frac{8}{12}}\\ &=x^{\frac{5}{12}}\end{split}\]
  2. \[\begin{split}\left( \sqrt[4]{a \cdot \sqrt[3]{a}}\right)^3&= \left( \sqrt[4]{a \cdot a^{\frac{1}{3}}}\right)^3\\ &=\left( \sqrt[4]{a^{\frac{3}{3}+\frac{1}{3}}}\right)^3\\ &=\left( \sqrt[4]{a^{\frac{4}{3}}}\right)^3\\ &=\left( \left(a^{\frac{4}{3}} \right)^{\frac{1}{4}} \right)^3\\ &= a^{\frac{4}{3} \cdot \frac{1}{4} \cdot 3} = a^{\frac{12}{12}}=a\end{split}\]
  3. \[\begin{split}\left( \dfrac{x^{\frac{7}{4}} \cdot y^{\frac{2}{3}}}{\sqrt[4]{y} \cdot \sqrt[3]{x^5}} \right)^{24}&=\left( \dfrac{x^{\frac{7}{4}} \cdot y^{\frac{2}{3}}}{y^{\frac{1}{4}} \cdot x^{\frac{5}{3}}} \right)^{24}\\ &=\left( \dfrac{x^{\frac{7}{4}} \cdot y^{\frac{2}{3}}}{{x^{\frac{5}{3}} \cdot y^\frac{1}{4}}} \right)^{24}\\ &= \left( \dfrac{x^{\frac{7}{4}}}{x^{\frac{5}{3}}} \cdot \dfrac{y^{\frac{2}{3}}}{y^\frac{1}{4}} \right)^{24}\\ &=\left( x^{\frac{7}{4}-\frac{5}{3}} y^{\frac{2}{3}-\frac{1}{4}}\right)^{24}\\ &=\left( x^{\frac{21}{12}-\frac{20}{12}} y^{\frac{8}{12}-\frac{3}{12}}\right)^{24}\\ &= \left( x^{\frac{1}{12}} y^{\frac{5}{12}}\right)^{24}\\ &= x^{\frac{1}{12} \cdot 24} y^{\frac{5}{12} \cdot 24}=x^2y^{10}\end{split}\]

  1. \(\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{2}} = \dfrac{1}{\sqrt{2}} \cdot {\color{red}\dfrac{\sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}}} = \dfrac{\sqrt{2}}{2}\)

  2. \(\dfrac{36}{\sqrt{6}} = \dfrac{36}{\sqrt{6}} \cdot {\color{red}\dfrac{\sqrt{6}}{\sqrt{6}}} = \dfrac{36 \sqrt{6}}{6} = 6 \sqrt{6}\)
